We are very proud that Moke America is produced in Sarasota, Florida. The Sarasota-based company Cruise Car handles the production of our electric Moke. Cruise Car is the fourth largest manufacturer of electric vehicles in the U.S. and employs 20 people.
The electric Moke carries 10 batteries to give it additional power. Most electric golf carts only have between four and six batteries. The electric Moke has a range of 40 miles when fully charged. Unlike many electric vehicles, the electric Moke doesn’t require a special charging station. Owners can plug the car directly into a normal outlet to recharge it.
Moke America is fully street legal. By law, electric Mokes can’t go above 25 miles per hour and must stay on streets with a maximum speed of 35 miles per hour.
The Moke became iconic in part because of its brightly colored designs. Today, you can buy a Moke in black, blue, green, orange, red, pink, white or yellow. A special Camo edition is also available.
